A famous saying is that “Everything is fair in love and war” but when it comes to Pakistani politics it changes in to “Everything is fair in dirty politics”.
Recently a beautiful picture circulated among social and political discussion forums over the internet showing five decent smiling girls lined up and holding male NIC cards in their colorful hands. Last week, fortunately or may be unfortunately same picture had gone through my sight as well. When I say fortunately ,all the husbands can surely understand what I mean whereas, I was unfortunate because my wife boycotted me for one whole day when I spent my good two hours in looking (closely) and researching on those beautiful girls, Mass Wedding ceremonies and their arrangements in Pakistan. However, after two hours struggle when I revealed the reality before her - first she smiled then cursed the publisher of that photograph.

Moreover, the colorful dresses, smiling faces and holding ONLY MEN identity cards in “Mehendi” and “Nail polished” fingers make any doubt clear that the occasion was not the polling but the “Mass Wedding” registration and those poor girls were not the political workers but “Brides”
Publisher of the picture used those innocent girls for his dirty political gain but he could not hide few facts that are extremely obvious and enough to prove him liar. Few of them are listed below.
- Why were all the girls holding only men identity cards? Why couldn’t MQM arrange five men to do that job?
- Why were all the girls wearing “Mehendi” and “Nail Polish” at the same time? Any special occasion?
- Let’s assume for a moment that it was not a mass wedding registration but the polling, then how can one prove that the picture was taken on a polling day? If so, then what proves that they were MQM voters?
- If the rigging was that open, how come only Anti-MQM funded media which is still struggling for its existence could reach to capture that image? Where were other giant electronic and print media persons?
- When there was no major political rival, why would MQM take any risk of rigging that day?
I am pretty sure that these questions are unanswered and will remain unanswered as the justification of a lie always puts a liar in further troubles.

my word, what a wonderful write up!
